パシフィコ横浜で開催されたバイオジャパン2020は無事に閉幕しました。寒い中お越しくださいましたご来場の方々には厚くお礼申し上げます。出展物は顕微鏡インキュベータ、バッテリヒーター、3次元培養シートTASCL,、共培養容器NICO-1のシンプルな基本構成のみ。チラシは配布せずQRコードでホームページを読み取っていただき、名刺交換はカメラ撮影という非接触での対応にしました。
肝心の会場の盛り上がり具合はというと、お客さんガラガラ、出展ブースはスカスカ、お天気以上に寒かったです。予想はしていましたがここまでとは。来場客より知り合いの出展企業同士でお久しぶりの挨拶が飛び交って、展示会というより同窓会です（これはこれで楽しい）。午前中や夕方近くは殆ど人が通らなくて、突っ立ったまま黙ってるほうが寒くて疲れて。あまりにも暇すぎて、いつもなら塩対応する売り込みセールスにも愛想よく喋ってしまいます。
ただ、本当に興味を持ってくれる人は目指してやってくるので実のある商談はそこそこあって、成果のほどは悪くないです。冷やかしが減って営業効率はむしろ去年より上がりました。いつもの慣れたコンパニオンさんの他、新しいスタッフさんにも参加してもらって基本的な説明はスムーズに出来ていたので、時々休憩して楽をさせて貰いました。2日目は流石に傷が痛くなったのでお任せして早引けしたほどです。
コロナ対策で打ち合わせもPRもネットで行うのが主流になっていますが、会場で知り合いの企業さんたちに話を聞くと利便性が評価されて一過性のものではなく浸透し始めているようです。一方で実際に出展してみるとやはりリアルでの対面は何かブームを呼び込むエネルギがあります。展示会とは全く関係ないところで引き合いも増えるし。WEBベースでのビジネス推進は今後ますます盛んになるのは避けられませんが、上手く組み合わせて新しいやり方を生み出していこうと思います。
